Event Objective

Connect 11th Street Bridge Park’s six community garden plots in Wards 6 and 8 together with THEARC Farm for one night of community celebration.

Notable Elements

Local residents were invited to bring their own dinner to THEARC, which we enhanced with tastes of dishes made from produce grown in the six community gardens.

Washington Performing Arts curated a full schedule of entertainment, from gifted youth strings performers to a large group of African drummers and dancers. Guests enjoyed s’mores roasted over a fire pit as the sun set.
