The Details
Event Objective
Connect booksellers with budding and experienced collectors in a two day festival of rare, collectible books.
Notable Elements
The Side Lobby started working with WABF in 2015 just as the fair changed ownership. The new fair manager wanted to bring new life to an event that had been running for nearly 40 years. We accomplished that by adding a series of complementary programming and whimsical activities for attendees such as a demonstration about book binding, informal appraisals, and a talk led by a Library of Congress archivist.

"I know I've said this out loud but it's worth repeating ... thank you for the splendid job you did. There is no way the fair could have run as smoothly as it did without you. I realize it's your job, but what sets you apart from any other WABF 'vendor' is your total commitment to the cause and your understanding of my mission. "
